Styles Of Love (Commentary)

In the real world everyone has a real style of actions and emotions that they use when they are in love and while making love. One of the best and finest uses of an ARP is to discover new ways of ARP or to carry out a dream that you have and keep it a dream (which is usually the best). So, I have added the things below that will help you I feel make for a better fun in ARPing.

 

Romance

Romance = Passion + Play + Persuasion

The story of all romance is basically the same. Boy meets girl, Girl likes boy, they suffer drink poison and die....on really it is Boy sees girl. Girl sees boy. They meet and talk. Then they laugh. The two talk and play for a while until they really like each other and then they commit to each other and have sex. 

So you are thinking, it is not much different from other  ARPs (except for the commitment to each other and play) This is true. Romance is all about the run up to the sex. In sort it is a style of foreplay with stress on the play.

The funny thing about romances is that the two (sometimes more) persons that are in it make the commitment sometimes in words and sometimes in action but a definite commitment is made. In short, romance is not about a quick roll in the hay; it is about passionate love and tying that into emotion. Almost by definition, this is the type of ARP that is the longest and almost never is done in a single sitting. It takes time and ladies love it because it allows for lots of time to think and dream about where it is going to lead and enjoy the feeling involved.

Like there are four winds, there are seven keys to starting in romance.

Introduction/attraction

You have to see each other and want to try to be together. This is chemistry and it is there or it isn’t most times but you can help your case. Show that you are funny. If you see a female in trouble don’t be afraid to help totally if you can or support her in her charge. If you are the female and you are interested, let him ride in to the rescue or at least make it clear that you would like him to. This first interaction is very important.   

Conversation

You have to talk to him/her. This conversation should strike a balance between interest and desire. You both need to come to know each other. You have to enjoy talking and playing together. Understand that as conversation occurs what you ultimate goal is, is to have a nice conversation. Flirting every now and then is expected but should not be over done. The objective of the male is to make it clear that the female is the actual target of his attention and not what she can do to make him happy. The female has the same job but the female has to reward the pace and direction of the male’s conversation lead - that doesn’t mean she should be quiet.    

Smile words

Not only do you have to potentially be funny but it must be flirty. If you don’t know how to flirt, I can’t tell you in a few words. The only things I can suggest is that your words and actions must show that you are always active  in the world around you. As a male, you should be leading and moving through the world all the while laughing at anything that happens as the rule. Females should be in a more of a playing testing mode. The feminine role being to enjoy the actions of the male and define what the next part of the story will be by showing openness and control of the journey.

Just quietly softly

Romance is about moving fast while moving slowly. Sounds impossible - not really. If you are in the romantic mood they you both like each other and want to move the relationship on. The only thing is that you have to know each other before you ‘close the deal’. How much do you need to know each other? Do you need a certain amount of experience to make it so you both feel it? If so how much? Is this a real (within the play)?   Neither of you can ask these questions. You must simply know what the other is feeling. Once you make that move to the next level, if you are wrong then you don’t get to try again. Thus this will take time because if you screw it up it is all over. You only get one chance (or maybe three chances) at this. 

Plans and surprises.

One of the most important aspects of romance is the planning and surprise factors. A romancing partner must always keep surprising the intended (to be won over) with things that are appreciated and clearly planed. This shows that wooing lover has been thinking about the intended even when they are not around.  This is not to say that spontaneity is not welcome! What is needed is both.

Romance is not just Kissy face

Romantic lovers and ARPers often spend a lot of time posting kisses with everything they are doing. But that is not what romance is like. Romantics kiss frequently so that they can keep a touch to each other.

Romance is takes time.

One of the reasons this section is the longest in the sights that romance is such a rich and time consuming style of love making. It however is also very fulfilling and  enjoyable. It has to take some time, but if you let it you will be rewarded.

 

 

Ravishment and Adult Role Playing

Born from the pre 1990’s romance novels, ravishment has long been thought a staple of the romantic novel. It was banished in the 1990’s because it no longer was needed by the female readership. So what was the purpose of Ravishment.

Ravishment occurred when the female in a romance novel wanted to have sex with the male of her dreams but couldn’t because she would have felt wicked for doing it or thought that condemnation form others would sully her good name. the script works this way.

The female sees the male. She is excited by seeing him. He sees her and is likewise enamored. The male at some point and time has access to the female and removes her to a place of his choosing. He begins to make love to her but she says “no” and even struggles. The male knows that even though she is saying the words or even fighting him with every resource she has that she is a liar. She is scared that he is going to take her but actually no matte what she says to anyone (including herself) she wants to be over powered. Once the male does so her will is broken and she will do anything and everything he desires because she can’t live with out the joy he gives and represents.

Why was this needed?  Because society had made women adopt a purity standard that included the concept that sex was bad and wanting sex made a women a slut. Though this was not the case in the Woodstock generation, many women were still slow to own their own sexuality and desire for fulfillment. But the change was coming.  In the mid-1980’s it became clear that no women was buying this old plot device anymore and it was (un)officially retired.

So what does this have to do with ARPs? In an ARP if a person wants they can do this plot line. This is only acceptable if both partners agree ahead of time and usually in a PM. Also note that this is not romantic but is really closed to it. So if a female (often) says that they are really a romantic type don’t read a book in you mother’s romance novel collection and then proceed to ravish her unless that is what they really said they wanted.  And even then you should be aware that just because they like to be ravished, doesn’t mean that you should do it NOW. You still have to be sure your partner wants to do it or you may well wind up talking to yourself.

 

 

Virginity

 

The classic western definition of virgin was an unmarried female. The assumptive part of the definition was that a women would not have sex outside of marriage. (Note that in some societies that assumed part was apart of the definition.) The current definition of Virginity says that you are a virgin if you have had no sexual activity external to your own body’s touch. Also a person is a virgin to any sexual activity that you have not done. In most cases the former definition is the one that it refereed to and in the case of ARP virginity is usually referenced just before a person looses it. These are the quick facts about virginity in humans so you can extrapolate them to furry or any other phenotype.

Males

In the modern era, males are considered virgins in the same ways as females. Biologically there is no difference between a male that is and is not a virgin. The difference is in experience and control. In the case of males, the lost of virginity is usually punctuated by quick ejaculation and not much joy to his partner. Control and love making technique if learned. Lucky, most young virgins can try again fairly quickly with a little help - however the result may be the same.

Females

Females are the ones that most persons think about when it comes to virginity. On reason is that only they have the possibility of a organ that is purported to show virginity. In the female human, the sex of the female has the possibility of a hymen. Three facts are important when it comes to the hymen (very frequently known as the maidenhead).

·        The hymen may or may not exist at birth.

·        The hymen is not the same in all women and thus the following things are also variable

·        It may be broken with a lot of pressure of a little bit.

·        It may or may not be accompanied with a little blood or none

·        It may totally or not at all prevent sex. (Yes women can have sex more then once and not break it)

·        No matter what the hymen status is the female rarely climaxes the first time and very often doesn’t enjoy it as much as any other time. 

In the case of most ARPs if a female is a virgin, she is expected to have a hymen that does break with a sharp and passing pain and blood is visible in varying amount. This is not required but it the pattern followed in the vast number of ARPs. Also in ARP, the first time of the female is expected to be just as likely to be pleasurable as the subsequent sessions.  How a female character handles the situation is totally personal and you should handle it as you want and not as it is expected.

 

 

Impregnation

 

An impregnation  the persons involved have to have sex where the love making is made and one or both persons knows that the end result is that a cub/baby is going to be created. This is an example of a post coital kink. The actual mating is dreamed to have an effect after the action is over and affects the person during the scene because they are aware of the after effects of the scene. It could be two persons in love, sex that is being driven by the pheromones given off by a female in heat/season or a male forcing motherhood on a female.

 

Why and what happens then are the questions most persons have. A lot of males (and a large number of females) like the idea of a new life being made (or even forced to be made) inside the female; however, impregnation scenes don't actually mean that you have to make a new character and make it grow up. The scene does not mean that you have to RP the pregnancy and even the birth. It is the act and the implications of the act that is the kink factor. (Making a baby is fun and feeling that it is made inside of you is fun; but, having and raising a baby is not fun- it is serious.) 

 

As with everything else, this is totally a voluntary type of sex play. Actual  impregnation has to be agreed to by both parties involved but during a scene if penal-vaginal sex occurs without measures being taken then one or both parties could pose such an inference.  This type of scene just requires little things like one or both acknowledging the facts of the play and not much else. This is done by maybe the female posting for example, ”no please pull it out if or you will knock me up” or posting the action ‘she feels his seed filling her body with his cubs'. The actual female doesn’t have to show up later with children or have to even do much more then maybe say that they are taken care of.  For persons like me,  it is the knowledge that the impregnation has happened that is the sexy part.

 

 

Playing two characters

 

In the world of ARP one of the limitations that everyone adheres to is not the one you would expect. RL (Real life) males play females and straight persons play gay ones. Fifty year old men ARP as 12 year old girls. Not to mention that christen virgins play as shape shifting BDSM herm sluts. The rule that everyone follows most times is one character at a time. This is a rule that you can break. You can be two fursons in the chat at once.

First of all there are two of ways you can achieve this effect. The first is that you can enter the chat room as a pair of characters. This is the simplest method and the only one that works on all chat clients. You simple create an id with both characters in the description fields. When you post you should be clear as to which character is saying or doing what you are doing. This by the way is a common method for couples that want to enjoy time together in a chat room. with someone else and not just in ARP. I know of a pair of girls (Bi in a relationship together) that chose to only go on-line together and their names are  Megumi and Akemi. When they post each one can possibly be the poster so they post using (Aki) or (Meg) to show who’s post it is.

So Megumi’s post comes out as:

Megumi_Akemi_skunkettes: (Meg) makes a big face with an anime excitement and hits the horny mouse over the head  Baka! We belong to Ebonfire. Leave us alone!” 

And Akemi’s comes out as:

Megumi_Akemi_skunkettes: (Aki) bends at the slightly waist for respect and says you are very cute honorable uncle but maybe you should hit on someone else.

 

 

The second method is to create a second screen name and then enter the chat with a second client. On Yahoo, it is possible to enter a yahoo!groups chat through the yahoo java client on the group web page (button link named chat) and then to enter that same chat room using the join user in chat function in the messenger.

Now the real question is why would you want to do this. Maybe you want to chat while enjoying an ARP. Or maybe you want to have two ARPs going at once (such a horny mind). Or even you want to do a threesome with someone. The reasons are out there and now you have a couple of tools to meet that need.
